Resonance – INTRODUCTIONS

If you want to get your ears acquainted with some mighty fine jazz, this is a perfect CD for such!

What’s so nice about the dozen tunes this San Francisco/Bay-area octet offers up is that they’ve been doing this together for such a long time (since 2006) that there’s no “competition”, no “pushing or shoving”… as evidenced by the very cool track, “Gemini“… great jazz with the key element – FUN!

Everything blends together perfectly on “The Journey of Each Other“… each note is part of the larger whole on this one, to be sure!  My personal favorite was “Gaviota“; light, but full of movement as well (I just loved the violin on this one).  I give these folks a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of 4.98.
